🍰 Bakery Department

How do I place an order with the bakery?
You can order several ways:

  • Call us at 570-739-2963 (Option 2)
    • Mon–Fri: 5 AM – 4 PM
    • Sat: 6 AM – 3 PM
    If calling after hours, we’ll return your call the next business day.
  • Order online through our website
  • Email: [email protected]
  • Stop by during bakery hours:
    • Mon–Fri: 6 AM – 3 PM
    • Sat: 6 AM – 12 PM
    (Store is open longer, but bakery staff are only available during listed hours.)

I’m not sure what I want. Can I get a quote or ideas?
Absolutely! Submit an online cake inquiry and a bakery team member will contact you the next business day.

How far in advance do I need to order?

  • Custom cakes: At least 48–72 hours’ notice
  • Tiered or wedding cakes: At least 30 days’ notice
    The earlier, the better!

Can I place a last-minute order?
If our schedule allows, we’re happy to help. We also have ready-made cakes and pies available in our case and freezer. Basic personalization may be possible on short notice.

Do you make gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free, or peanut-free desserts?
We do not currently make any of these in-house due to low demand and allergy risk.
Our facility is not nut-free and not certified kosher.
We carry gluten-free baked goods from Rosemary’s Bakery in our freezer section.

Do you ship baked goods?
No. All baked goods are pickup only.
We do ship chocolates (October–March) – email [email protected] for more info.

Do you require a deposit on bakery orders?
Yes. Orders over $100 require a 50% deposit, with the balance due 10 days before pickup.
All deposits are non-refundable but may be applied as store credit or toward a future order.

Can I modify or cancel my order?
Please call us as soon as possible. While deposits are non-refundable, we’re happy to apply the amount to a future order or store credit when possible.

Do you offer wedding consultations or tastings?
Yes! Contact us to schedule a wedding cake consultation and tasting appointment.

Can I bring in a photo or theme idea for a custom cake?
Of course! Bring a printed image or email us inspiration. We work with buttercream only—no fondant.

Can your cakes and pies be frozen?
Many of our products freeze well. Ask our staff for guidance on specific items.

What is the holiday order deadline?
We stop accepting orders 3–5 days before major holidays, or earlier if fully booked.
We stock our cases with over 40 fresh items to accommodate last-minute shoppers.


🍬 Candy & Retail

Do you make all of your chocolates onsite?
We make the majority of our chocolates in-house, including our signature peanut rolls and hand-cut fudge. For specialty items we don’t produce ourselves, we proudly carry trusted brands like Asher’s and Victoria’s Candies.

Do you offer custom favors for weddings or events?
Yes! We offer custom candy packaging and favors. Contact us to discuss options.

Can I pre-order candy for holidays or gifts?
Definitely! We recommend placing large or seasonal orders early.

Do you ship chocolate?
We ship chocolates October through March (weather permitting). Contact us to arrange.


🛒 Grocery, Subs & Catering

Do you sell made-to-order food?
Yes! We have a full selection of fresh MTO subs, deli items, and prepared foods.
Order in-store, by phone, or online at www.cccandies.com.

Do you offer catering or party trays?
Yes! We offer deli, bakery, and candy trays for gatherings. Please order at least 48 hours in advance.


🏪 General Store Info

Why do you sell bakery if you’re a candy store?
Great question! We started with homemade chocolates in our family kitchen 30+ years ago. In 1997 we opened our first shop. By 2005, we expanded into the neighboring grocery store and soon added a bakery. Today we proudly offer custom cakes, pies, and pastries alongside our candy and grocery selection.

Are you affiliated with the restaurant next door (Friedensburg Country Restaurant)?
Yes! While the businesses are separately operated, we are one family.
The store is owned by mother-daughter team Linda and Amy, and the restaurant is run by son/brother Christopher. You’ll often see us working side by side, but each has its own menu and management.

Are you hiring?
Yes! Applicants must be 16 or older.

We do not accept job applications via Facebook.

What are your store hours?
We’re open 7 days a week, 364 days a year:

  • Mon–Fri: 5:30 AM – 8 PM
  • Sat: 6 AM – 8 PM
  • Sun: 7 AM – 7 PM
    Closed only on Christmas Day. Holiday hours may vary.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Gift cards are available in any amount and can be purchased in-store.

Do you donate to local organizations?
We proudly support many local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.

  • Requests must be submitted 14 days in advance
  • Include official letterhead or fill out our donation request form online
    Due to the volume of requests, not all submissions will be approved.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept:

  • Cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover
  • Apple Pay, Android Pay
  • Personal checks (processed via Telecheck)
  • EBT
    The PA Lottery register accepts cash and debit only. An ATM is available onsite.
